I HAVE FOUND A PIECE OF CLAY WITH ENDICOTT ON THE TOP ON THE BEACH AT CANVEY ISLAND. DID THEY MAKE LEMONADE CONTAINERS I THINK YOU WOULD CALL IT EARTHENWARE ITS BROWN COLOURING WHERE THE WRITING IS?
Does it say ‘Leddicott’ rather than ‘Endicott’? Green and Leddicott were a firm of ginger beer and lemonade manufacturers in Southend who used stoneware bottles for their drinks c. 1900.
