Fragment of a nineteenth-century slab-sealed flagon impressed with the name ‘B. Bowlen, Horseshoes Inn, Roydon’ (Norfolk). This was over fifty years old when it was discarded, apparently already broken, although other flagons were thrown away intact. The Horseshoes is still in operation today.
