De Carle’s Ripe Fruit Drinks/ The Only Original and Genuine/ De Carle and Sons, Norwich.
Green glass, burst-off lip bottle for fruit syrup/ concentrate. De Carle was a chemist in Magdalen Street, Norwich. In East Anglia in the 1890s, this was the leading brand, but Foster Clark’s Eiffel Tower Fruit Juices were starting to compete in this region.
I just found one of these in fantastic condition and the lip is in tact and complete which, judging by the comment about “burst-off” lip above, may make it a little rarer – does it have any value to anybody and if so who?
